Biomes: Part 1
In the class of E.M we have being working on biomes
and the teacher propose us to make an entry in our blogs about one biome that
we choose of the ones that we work on. Today I am going to write about the Central
American rainforest but first we have to know what a Biome is.
It is a large geographical area characterized by
certain types of animals and plants. Each biome has different climate, plants,
animals, etc. There are 6 different biomes…
-Tundra -Grassland
-Tropical Rainforest -Coniferous Forest
-Desert -Deciduous
Forest
Tropical Rainforest…
They are the oldest living ecosystems. The tropical
rainforest cover only 6% of the earth’s surface and contain more than ½ of the
world`s plants and animals species. I t is called “rain” because of the high
amount of precipitation that receives per year and “tropical” because it is
located between the two tropics.
Here i leave you a Power Point that i have made with some friends and a video that i like very much...
